Long shooting hours, heavy makeup and hectic schedules have made Nitanshi Goel more conscious about taking care of her skin. The actor, who has been exploring the world of beauty and skincare, believes that looking after one's skin does not necessarily mean following an elaborate routine.
For her, it is about understanding what the skin needs and being consistent with the basics.“There wasn’t really a dramatic turning point! As my schedule got busier, I realised that what I needed were a few skincare essentials and a routine I could follow anywhere. My skincare philosophy is keep it sorted, keep it consistent, and let your skin do its thing. I’ve learnt that the basics really matter — cleansing, moisturising, sunscreen and getting enough rest.
Consistency matters much more to me than chasing that overnight glow,” she says.
The actor, who is the first Indian brand ambassador for Korean skincare label Mamonde, says her interest in skincare has been an enjoyable journey. “I genuinely believe a good skin day can change your whole mood! I enjoy taking care of my skin, but I like keeping my routine fuss-free. For me, skincare is less about having a hundred steps and more about finding those little things that make you feel good in your own skin.
And honestly, there’s something so lovely about that fresh, healthy glow,” she adds. With acting comes the added challenge of long hours on set, frequent makeup applications and exposure to different environments. Nitanshi says she has become more mindful of understanding her skin's needs instead of blindly following trends. “I’ve become more mindful about understanding what my skin needs and sticking to what works for me.
Good skincare isn’t just about what you put on your face; it’s also about how well you look after yourself.
Hydration, good sleep and giving yourself time to recharge are just as important. For me, it’s all about finding that balance,” she says. Her post-shoot skincare routine is equally uncomplicated. After spending hours in makeup, she prefers going back to the basics rather than overwhelming her skin with too many products. “After a long shoot, I like to keep things gentle. I make sure I remove my makeup properly and follow up with products that hydrate and moisturise my skin. I also avoid layering too many products. I’m all for a glow that looks like your skin on its happiest day, not a routine with a hundred steps! For me, healthy, comfortable skin always comes first,” she says.
